Under the slogan " Hebrew.You can." For the first time, the Egyptian Public Library in Damanhour launched the art workshops of the Damanhour International Festival of women's comics and the meadow thread workshop . Under the patronage of Dr./ Nahal belbaa - deputy governor of Beheira, in cooperation with the Egyptian Public Library in Damanhour, AMS launched art workshops to teach the principles of caricature art, organized by the caricature for all initiative, affiliated with the Abdullah Al-Sawy foundation to preserve the heritage of Egyptian caricature, with the support of the Goethe Institute، This is part of the activities and events of the Damanhour International Women's caricature festival in its first session. Where the meadow sewing workshop started with the Egyptian artist / Ibrahim al-Breidi, and the students of the industrial Secondary School of Damanhour girls and a number of workers in the activities Department at the library participated in it. The writer/ Abdullah Al-Sawy, founder and director of the festival, welcomed the lecturers and thanked the hosts, and provided a brief and simplified explanation about the history of the Egyptian caricature art and its early pioneers, and introduced the festival, its goals and importance, and the most important activities and events that will be included in the first session Ahmed Al - Hawash, director of the Public Library of Egypt, stressed the support of the deputy governor of Beheira for all cultural and artistic activities in general, and individual activities in particular, especially the art of caricature, pointing out that the workshops of Al-Baridi met with great response from the audience, being the first workshop of its kind in Beheira governorate, and Al-Baridi is considered the founder and pioneer of the art of the meadow thread in Egypt and the Arab world. During the day's activities, two workshops were presented to teach the principles of drawing, portraiture and caricature art at the Egyptian Public Library in Damanhour, in which the artist/ Amal Samir participated, over two hours, and a workshop at the headquarters of the College of Islamic and Arabic studies for girls in Damanhour - the first workshop of its kind to be held within the faculties of Al - Azhar University in Beheira-and the artist/ Raghda Jawad Hegazi participated. The researcher and writer/Abdullah Al-Sawy pointed out that the workshops come within the framework of the efforts of the caricature for all initiative, affiliated with the Abdullah Al-Sawy foundation to preserve the heritage of Egyptian caricature, and the free educational workshops it provides, with the aim of preserving the heritage of Egyptian caricature art and its early pioneers, and its endeavor since its establishment to spread the art of caricature among all Lovers and lovers of caricature art. It is worth mentioning that the production of the workshops will be presented at the exhibition, which will be held as part of the activities and events of the first cycle of the Damanhour International Women's caricature festival, from 3 march to 7 March, at the headquarters of the Public Library of Egypt in order to raise the morale of the participants and motivate them, and give the distinguished ones the opportunity to place their works side by side with the works of the Giants and pioneers of the art of Egyptian caricature: two rockets, rokha, Zahdi, tougan and others, as well as a large number of Egyptian, Arab and foreign cartoonists.
